Weekly Prayer Bulletin: Feb 26 2016

Summary: Points for prayer gathered from events and news over the past week. Please join us as we intercede on these matters and believe to see changes in the things we bring before the Lord.

Shabbat Shalom. It is a blessing to pray and enter in to communion with Yeshua.
Here are our weekly points to pray through from the past week.

It has been reported that the threat of war with Hamas is likely to increase. Poor living conditions and hardships amongst the population in Gaza could prompt Hamas to seek war with Israel. There are growing tensions in Gaza along border with Israel.

PRAY that the government will act with wisdom and that those who advise will have Godly understanding and motives.

PRAY that Hamas will see that violence is not the answer and any plans they have to provoke a war will be frustrated and fail, Romans 13:1.

The IDF Chief has updated policy and told military personnel to keep weapons on them while off duty. This follows last week's attack on an off-duty member ofthe IDF while he was shopping in local supermarket. The attack by two 14 year old Arabs left the young man struggling for his life. later that day, he died from his injuries.

PRAY for the widow and grieving family of this murdered off duty IDF solider, Tuvia Yanai Weissman, who was buried last Friday.

PRAY that the IDF soldiers remain alert to danger whilst on and off-duty and that they continue to act with the right level of reaction to threats and compassion for those they see needing help.

PRAY that they remain moral, exercising righteous standards; that leaders in the IDF make wise and well informed decisions; that the surrounding darkness is pushed back, Psalm 121:8.

During his final year, President Obama will be looking to leave a legacy. His policy towards Israel has been less than supportive during his time in office. Labelling of Israeli goods was condoned not criticised.

His government opposes the intention of the Israeli Government to request that the funding of NGO's by foreign governments is declared. This is something that Israel feels is necessary to give transparency and stability to government. Within Israel there is some cross party disagreement about whether this is a good idea.

PRAY that Obama is sensitive towards Israel and that the positive links and support that the US has historically had for Israel will be maintained, Psalm 36:1.

PRAY that the sections of Israeli government will be united and work for the good of the whole nation in a godly manner.

This week, posters were illegally displayed on the London underground, portraying anti-semitic material.

PRAY that the media report fair and accurate news; that those who seek to actively peddle lies are exposed, Psalm 56:9.

Israel is a land of great beauty and abundance. It is progressive in many fields of expertise including medicine, scientific research, agriculture, organic produce and green energy.

PRAY with thanks, for the success of Israeli industries and the increase of knowledge, Jeremiah 32:22.

PRAY with thanks, that many countries also benefit from the growth and developments that Israel make, Genesis 12:2.

We are told in 1Thessalonians 5:17 to pray continually. If we are called to pray it is a huge privilege that we can exercise anywhere and at all times.

Let us gladly accept the gift and the instruction to stand in the gap to pray for Israel and God's purposes for all His people.

Have a blessed weekend!
