Shabbat Shalom

Our praise and prayers to God are to the One who is holy and supreme, King of all Kingdoms. Our confidence is in Him.

Behold I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is anything too hard for me?"
Jeremiah 32:27

World Heritage Committee Vote on Temple Mount

Sadly, once again UNESCO has shown that is anti-semitic in its outlook. This time the cultural body's World Heritage Committee agreed to a similar resolution to the one passed last week, denying Jewish links to the Temple Mount and Western Wall.

The new resolution describes the Temple Mount which is the site where the Jewish Temple stood as the "Al-Aqsa Mosque" and "a Muslim holy site of worship". The draft resolution contains no references to the Jewish or Christian connections. An amazing exclusion as the Western Wall is the actual wall of the Jewish Temple built by Herod and visited by Yeshua.

PRAY that those nations and committees that have bowed to the Palestinian driven agenda will recognise their mistake and repent.

PRAY that the growing public opinion of mistrust in UNESCO as an independent and unbiased body will call them to account.

PRAY that the decision will not lead to increased violence in the old city of Jerusalem.

PRAY that the unity between Jews and Christians may be strengthen. Psalm 133:1: "Behold you good and pleasant it is the bothers dwell in unity."

Assault On Mosul

The combined forces that include the Kurdish Peshmerga and the Iraqi army along with US support are making headway towards Mosul. They have made significant gains and taken out a number of IS fighters.

The civilians in Mosul are in a dire situation, abused by the IS invaders who took over their city in 2014, unable to flee and in some cases being used by ISIS as human shields.

PRAY the evil that drives the actions of the IS troops will be totally crushed.

PRAY that as the Peshmerga get nearer to Mosul they will remain strong and that the rockets and fire from ISIS will be ineffective and fail to reach their targets.

PRAY that the city will be liberated soon and then be a place where Christians and others can live in peace and safety.

PRAY that the name of God will be praised in Mosul and freedom to worship will be the norm. PRAY that believers in Yeshua will be spared from torture and kept safe. 2 Corinthians 12:9, "My grace is sufficient for you for my power is made perfect in weakness."

Ancient Papyrus Found

Archaeologists have found a fragment of papyrus that has been dated as the seventh century BC. The writing on it is Hebrew script detailing taxes to be paid in Jerusalem. This is the oldest extra biblical source of writing that mentions Jerusalem in Hebrew.

The Israeli government have pointed out that this is evidence of Jewish connections to the city that go back into ancient history.

PRAY that the significance of this historical evidence will help people to accept the Jewish presence in Jerusalem from ancient times.

PRAISE GOD for the timing of this finding in the light of the UNESCO decision to deny Jewish links to the Temple Mount and other holy sites.

but I have chosen Jerusalem that my name may be there, and I have chosen David to be over my people Israel."
2 Chronicles 6:6

The names of the places can be superficially changed by Unesco but God's name is carved into the very foundations of the city.

Saudia Arabia - Human Rights Council

The Saudis are seeking to be re-elected to the Human Rights Council. They managed to be elected last time by trading favours with voting nations including the United Kingdom.

The history of human rights abuse in Saudi Arabia makes sorry reading - they continually violate human rights in their own country. They are not a suitable nation to be on the Council. This dealing exposes the sham hypocrisy at the heart of the United Nations, a corrupt institute.

PRAY that they will be shown up for what they are and not re-elected.

PRAY that they will address the unjust treatment of women in their country and eradicate the abuse of human rights that happens there.

ASK GOD to break the regime that brings misery to its people.
